CHRISTOPHER HOYT (b. 1985) holds a Master of Sacred Music degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Composition from the Royal College of Music in London, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from the University of North Texas in Denton. He is an organist, pianist, and hymnodist as well as a composer.
His compositions cover a broad gamut of instrumentation, ranging from variations for solo violin to a rhapsody for symphony orchestra. Most of his work to date, however, has been sacred music intended for use in a church context: choral anthems, hymns, service settings, and organ voluntaries.
