CHRISTOPHER HOYT (b. 1985) holds a Master of Sacred Music degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, a Postgraduate Diploma in Music Composition from the Royal College of Music in London, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from the University of North Texas in Denton. He is an organist, pianist, and hymnodist as well as a composer.
His compositions cover a broad gamut of instrumentation, ranging from variations for solo violin to a rhapsody for symphony orchestra. Most of his work to date, however, has been sacred music intended for use in a church context: choral anthems, hymns, service settings, and organ voluntaries.
PDFs of parts and scores are available upon request from the composer. Use the message box below to place an order. Church music ministers and other institutional employees are permitted by the composer to make unlimited photocopies of purchased pieces, but only for use in churches/institutions where they are currently employed. Copies may not be sold or distributed.
